Excursion to the Shrine of Remembrance

On the first day of November, ALTEC College students had an excursion to the Shrine of Remembrance.

The Shrine of Remembrance is Victoria’s largest and most visited war memorial of National Significance. It is one of Melbourne’s most recognised landmarks.

As part of student engagement at ALTEC College, we regularly take students on excursions (when they finished their assessments) to the cultural or natural parts of Melbourne.

This excursion is a part of unit/module VU21463 Explore transport options (Cert II EAL) and also ties in with VU21499/ VU21508 (Cert III and IV in EAL units). We have booked a Shrine Guided Intro to our students. Students practiced their English listening and improved language skills by attending this activity.
